Meet Jane Lewis

Founder & Principal, Lewis Consulting

Jane brings expertise, business insight, effective tools, and genuine warmth to her well-regarded coaching practice. For twenty years, she has helped high-potential performers identify their strengths, overcome their challenges, and gain the essential skills and insights they need to excel. For many, the results have been transformational.

Her clients range from C-suite executives in Fortune 500 companies to sole-proprietors, and include a wide breadth of fields—from biotech and entertainment to wealth management. In addition, she has spent the last fifteen years coaching partners in global law firms to help them grow their practices and hone their business development capabilities.

Prior to becoming an executive coach, Jane held positions in marketing and sales at IBM and Morgan Stanley (Smith Barney) in Los Angeles and Seattle, and additionally managed multiple account teams at two leading Northwest advertising agencies. During those years she worked effectively with a diverse group of companies across multiple industries including The Boeing Company, Hewlett Packard, Northrop Corporation, 20th Century Studios, and Westin Hotels and Resorts.

Jane holds an M.A. in Organizational Psychology from Antioch University, a B.A. in Social Sciences from Seattle University, and is a graduate of B-Coach – a business coaching certification program. She is certified in the Hogan Personality Inventory Suite, Harrison Assessment, Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®), and Leadership Circle Profile.

She and her husband live in Seattle. They enjoy travel, the outdoors, and time spent with their adult children, extended family, and friends.

Coaching engagement highlights:

• Coached four C-Suite members of a newly formed executive team in a $16bn global logistics company. Work included 360 assessments, development plans, and 1:1 coaching. The engagement has expanded to 30+ SVP’s and regional leaders.

• External coach and consultant for 12+ years at a nationally known cancer research institute/hospital. Work included 1:1 and team coaching, and retreat design/facilitation for physicians, scientists and administration with the goal of increasing collaboration and building leadership capabilities.

• Worked with the CEO of a regional non-profit to create a more cohesive, trusting, and professional executive leadership team. Efforts also included an organizational redesign to better position the company for future growth.

• Coached an SVP of a global media company to deepen self-awareness (vision, values, strengths, opportunities), reorganize reporting structures, delegate more effectively, and improve overall career satisfaction and work-life balance.

• Worked with the Chief Legal Officer of a global technology company while transitioning into a C-Suite role. Outcomes included becoming a more confident and assertive communicator, addressing conflict swiftly, and delegating and empowering direct reports.

• Coached the CFO of a multi-state health care organization to become a more self-aware and empathetic leader, improve communication skills, and more proactively manage emotional triggers with the goal of increasing overall effectiveness.
